Agios Nikolaos

Lassithi Prefecture is the easternmost point of Crete. It is the last prefecture in Crete in extent and population.

Lassithi Plateau is the largest in Greece as it covers an area of ​​50 sq. Km. Here are the famous windmills, a trademark of the Plateau. The Mountain Dikti is also at Lassithi Plateau while on the north side of the mountain lies Dikteon Andron, one of the most important caves internationally. Elounda also belongs to the prefecture of Lassithi, very close to Agios Nikolaos and is the most cosmopolitan part of the prefecture. Here the most famous people in the world spend their holidays here during the summer.

In the prefecture of Lasithi there are beautiful beaches, other deserted and other well organized, but all with crystal clear waters.
